Eddie Jones
- I flunked freshman English twice at State before passing it the third time with a D-.
- I graduated from State with a degree in English.
- I met my wife at a stop light in West Palm Beach, Florida.
- I followed John F. Kennedy into the North Carolina Governor’s mansion, but the nice men walking beside JFK asked me to go away.
- I won $1000 for my first novel, Bahama Breeze, at the Delaware Christian Writer’s Conference. That conference went out of business.
Scott McCausey
- The real reason I’m in radio and not writing is I misspelled B-O-L-O-G-N-A in the 5th grade spelling bee. Who does that? It was a childhood commercial for crying out loud!
- I’ve been told many times I have the face for radio, so that has worked out well.
- Once sang Happy Birthday very poorly with Eddie Jones and Cindy Sproles during an interview with recording artist Michael Card. He kept asking, “What is going on? You guys are kidding, right?”
- Once during the bantering portion of Speak UP, I discussed a horrible planters wart on the bottom of my foot with the co-host. My guest was Christian comedian Brad Stine, who during his introduction introduced the idea of laying hands on my ailment in prayer, but it might not be the best idea.
- I love to hunt and fish, so I brought on an Alaskan tour guide. During his testimony, he shared fighting a grizzly bear. It sort of one-upped my best hunting story.
