Meet This Week's Guest
Writing humor has a lot to do with the combination of observation and timing. Author and book coach, Amy Williams shares how humor, written well, lowers stress and makes tough topics palatable for public consumption.
Amy is a coffee-drinking, sushi-eating, story-telling nerd who loves cats, country living, and all things Japanese. She’d rather be barefoot, and if she isn’t, her socks will never match. Amy likes her road trips with rock music, her superheroes with snark, and her blankets extra fuzzy, but her first love is stories and the authors who are passionate about telling them.
Please welcome – Amy A.C. Williams to Your Best Writing Life – Good to have you back, Amy!
Linda and Amy discuss shock value, physical comedy, situational humor, and character-based humor. Are you using the right humor in your writing? It makes the difference between readers rejecting your stories and coming back for more.
