Fiction and non-fiction persuade by telling the best story or facts and reaching readers hearts. To all those who had the courage to write snd submit, especially but not exclusively the winners, their agents, editors, publishers, and critique partners, you “stir m8bds and hearts, and being about change in a way few other art forms can manage. . .The spirit you bring is the spirit well feel as we read, and . . . The most gripping and beautiful is the spirit of hope” (Donald Maass, The Emotionsl Craft of Fiction). Thank you for that.

Corrected (why editing and taking your time is so important, something this wild Irish lass continues to learn):

Fiction and non-fiction persuade by telling the best story or facts, and reaching readers’ hearts. To all those who had the courage to write and submit–especially but not exclusively, the winners, their agents, editors, publishers, and critique partners–you “stir minds and hearts, and bring about change in a way few other art forms can manage. . .The spirit you bring is the spirit we’ll feel as we read, and . . . The most gripping and beautiful is the spirit of hope” (Donald Maass, The Emotional Craft of Fiction). Thank you for that.
