We are super excited to introduce you to our 2020 Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference Faculty!
Visit the page to:
- Find out who is coming.
- Find out whether they are an author, editor, or agent.
- Read their bio.
- Find links to their websites, social media, and books.
- Discover what the editors and agents are looking for.
- See their lovely and handsome faces.
This page will be updated on occasion as we add someone new. So be sure to check back every now and then to find out if we’ve added more faculty.
Also, here are some helpful hints on how to use the faculty page information:
Print off the page and study it.
Get to know faces with names. This will make it easier to spot the faculty members when you are walking around campus or looking for them at dinner. {Get a printable version here.}
Read up on who is looking for what.
Make sure you know ahead of time who to make appointments with based on what you write and what they’re looking to acquire. It’s better not to waste your time or an editor or agent’s time by knowing if you’re a match or not up front.
Check out their blogs and web pages.
Usually a publishing house will have a page on their site that tells you what types of manuscripts they are acquiring. Do some research. Want to know more about an author? Visiting their sites and social media are a good way to start getting to know them.
Find something new to read.
Many of the authors will mention something they’ve written. Check out a new book before you come to the conference. It’ll give you an ice breaker if you can tell them how much you enjoyed their book and why.
Head on over to the faculty page to get started!
And don’t forget to sign up for the AMAZING post conference with Jane Friedman!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask in the comments below.
We look forward to seeing you in May!
