We are on an adventure called life. From the day we are born until God calls us home, we are given special interests that define our purpose and mold our personalities. Writing is our sacred adventure.
Writers share a special path because we’ve been gifted with the creative skill of releasing words to the world. We invest our time, effort, and often money to improve our craft.
We all long to push aside the pressures of the world and simply allow our imaginations to reach new heights. It’s what we do and who we are.
I treasure all the components of writing and the publishing world: learning, editing, listening, observing, attending conferences, teaching enthusiastic writers, trying new techniques, accepting the challenge of social media and managing time. How amazing to wake each new morning and look forward to what the day presents. Satisfaction fuels us to try harder, be a better writer, and amaze readers with an unusual and memorable story.
I wish the same contentment, gratification, and pride for you.
- Some of us may be fortunate to have more free time than others.
- Others of us must carve out time from a busy schedule.
- Some of us may be multi-talented.
- Others remain laser-focused in a particular area.
- All of us have much to share with the world and must never forget our sacred adventure.
